Building my first FPV (First Person View) drone was both an exciting and technically enriching experience. This project allowed me to apply practical engineering concepts while honing my hands-on skills in electronics, assembly, and flight configuration.

The build began with a 4-in-1 ESC, F4 flight controller, and VTX. Soldering was performed with precision, ensuring clean joints for signal and power reliability.

I used 2207 2450KV brushless motors powered by a 4S 1300mAh LiPo battery, secured with an XT60 connector and filtered using a low-ESR capacitor.

The FPV system features a RunCam Nano camera and a 25–800mW VTX paired with Betaflight for flight configuration and tuning.

  • 📦 Frame assembly with carbon fiber and standoffs
  • 🔧 Optimized antenna placement
  • 🧰 Diagnosed ESC desync and signal issues
  • 🔋 Ensured battery safety with proper charging
  • 📶 Tuned VTX channels for clean frequency separation

This hands-on project enhanced my confidence in system integration, power design, and radio-frequency communication. Seeing it fly was a proud moment of engineering achievement.
