FPV Drone Build
Building my first FPV (First Person View) drone was both an exciting and technically enriching experience. This project allowed me to apply practical engineering concepts while honing my hands-on skills in electronics, assembly, and flight configuration.
The build began with a 4-in-1 ESC, F4 flight controller, and VTX. Soldering was performed with precision, ensuring clean joints for signal and power reliability.
I used 2207 2450KV brushless motors powered by a 4S 1300mAh LiPo battery, secured with an XT60 connector and filtered using a low-ESR capacitor.
The FPV system features a RunCam Nano camera and a 25–800mW VTX paired with Betaflight for flight configuration and tuning.
- 📦 Frame assembly with carbon fiber and standoffs
- 🔧 Optimized antenna placement
- 🧰 Diagnosed ESC desync and signal issues
- 🔋 Ensured battery safety with proper charging
- 📶 Tuned VTX channels for clean frequency separation
This hands-on project enhanced my confidence in system integration, power design, and radio-frequency communication. Seeing it fly was a proud moment of engineering achievement.
